Byron Edgington

The skywriter

A retired commercial pilot, I'm now a full time writer. Trained by the Army as a helicopter pilot, I flew in Vietnam for a year, then established a commercial career that took me all over the world. I flew a corporate ship for a midwestern coal miner, herded bears in Alaska, put out forest fires, counted more than 100,000 power poles in the MidWest, looked for tuna in the ocean, reported news and traffic in a dozen major cities. In Iowa, I rescued 3,200 emergency medical patients. On the island of Kauai, I flew 2,500 tours.

Welcome to my website. If you like good aviation tales, there's a lot here for you.
